Spinach and Kale Smoothie

- 1 cup fresh organic spinach leaves
- 1 cup fresh organic kale leaves, stems removed
- 1 ripe organic banana, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup organic Greek yogurt (or non-dairy yogurt for vegan option)
- 1/2 cup organic almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon organic chia seeds or flax seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon organic honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
- Ice cubes (optional, for a colder smoothie)
steps to follow
- Rinse the fresh organic spinach and kale leaves thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
- In a blender, combine the organic spinach, organic kale, sliced organic banana, organic Greek yogurt, organic almond milk, and any optional ingredients (chia seeds, flax seeds, honey, or maple syrup).
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the blender if needed.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- If desired, add ice cubes to the blender and blend again until the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.
- Pour the spinach and kale smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.
